by Heather McAfee | Dec 3, 2019 | News
Aery Aviation, LLC (“Aery”) has completed a contract to design, engineer, install, and certify multiple ISR/SIGINT sensors aboard a Gulfstream GIV long range business jet.
Aery produced and managed over 30,000 hours of design, engineering, modification, integration, and testing for this contract. After several months of testing, NAVAIR has released the aircraft to deploy for service through the issuance of an Interim Flight Clearance (IFC). The aircraft is expected to fly hundreds of hours a month in a special mission o9peration OCONUS with multiple surveillance systems installed. The aircraft continues to undergo an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the 10 new and/or modified aircraft systems. Aery expects the finalization of the FAA STC during FY Q2 2019.
Aery anticipates additional aircraft to be designed and modified during 2019 as the first unit delivery demonstrates its capabilities and success to the Department of Defense in its deployed OCONUS area of service.
