Aery Aviation wins a Subcontract with a Major U.S. Government Prime Contractor to Design, Engineer, Integrate, Modify and Certify a Special Missions Long Range Business Jet to be used by the United States Department of Defense
Newport News, Va. – Aery Aviation announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract for a Special Missions Gulfstream aircraft to be used by the United States Government for certain special missions. Under the contract, Aery will provide design, engineering, certification, program management, modification supervision and a host of other services on this Special Missions long range Gulfstream Business Jet. Aery will receive issuance of a FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) as well as Military Certification at the end of the project.
Aery will provide its U.S. Prime Defense Contractor with a turnkey solution managing the design, engineering and modification of the aircraft. Several premium vendors have been selected and will be utilized on the project from coast to coast to meet the aggressive one hundred twenty (120) days for the project completion. Aery has dedicated a very experienced team to this project which will include designers, electrical, mechanical, structural and flight test engineers. Several of which are FAA Designated Airworthiness or Engineering Representatives. The fully configured special mission aircraft will include an updated cockpit, specialized radar system, multiple satcom systems, multiple military encrypted communications devices, signal intelligence systems, system integration and more.

The contract is expected to be completed in May 2018 and the aircraft will immediately deploy for its missions with the US Government. Aery expects FAA STC and the final Military certification approvals later in 2018.
